Once again the festival of Eid is coming upon us! You’ll want to send and Eid cards very soon to your loved ones. During the Eid al-Adha millions of pilgrims from around the world will travel to the holy land of Makkah. This is the Eid when an animal is slaughtered as sacrificed and the poor among us are fed. However in the western lands not many people actually sacrifice any animals or at least are there throughout the entire process. Instead we let the shop owners do all the work and collect or have the meat delivered to our houses.
Other religions have their festivals and our festivals are Eid, this is a day when you celebrate by wearing your best clothes not necessarily new and by having a feast with all your family, relatives and anyone that you know really. It is also a day to glorify our Lord who has given this favour to us.
It is certainly a time of celebrations and everyone that I know texts me with Eid cards with greetings and Salams. Some people send e-cards, I’ve managed to gather some so you can send to your loved ones this Eid insha-Allah, enjoy and let me know what you think and how your Eid went
